'The Chicken King's New Clothes' - Panels

These panels began as a sketch I did of a
Chicken King, based on the Emperor’s New Clothes
— and you can see that original sketch here.

As so often happens when I begin
digitally painting over a sketch, I start getting
many ideas about how to expand it.

In this case, I began to envision
cartoony panels that illustrated the middle
and end of the tale — and am thinking
someday I may do the opening you see
in the text that proceeds this painting.
