Spring 2026 - 'The Claim'- Digital Painting

Back in 2019, I drew the sketch this one
is based on — no doubt influenced by all the ancient
Arizona mining history of the area I live in.

You can see that original sketch here.

I have no idea what the YUGE mushrooms
represent — but before I had the gold mine and miners
sketched in, I recall seeing them in the scribbles I done
on the page— and kept trying to get rid of them — but
then kept going back and sketching them in again.

Sometimes that happens — and I've learned just to go
with the flow and let things happen when it does
