Quite a few years ago, I found a photo on-line
of a little girl holding a stick with party balloons attached —
but she looked a little less than pleased. I fell in love with
that pic and kept in in my art 'reference' files for YEARS.
In 2019, I took a stab at a creating pastel pencil
drawing of her — exchanging the balloons for a scary looking
dog in a muzzle. You can see that early study here.
I've been wanting to take that rough first draft and
clean it up using digital software and tablet for quite awhile,
and finally got around to doing that this December.
