One after noon, I sketched an old dood with
a bird on his head & smoking a pipe. I wasn't editing my
thoughts at all — just having fun creating a character.

Recently I undertook digitally painting that sketch
— and as I finished this piece I remembered a quote
I heard LONG ago and have always liked:

'You can't stop a bird from
flying over your head — but you can stop
it from making a nest in your hair'.

The point is to not allow yourself to dwell
on negative or destructive things — and when
thoughts like that do come to mind— to MOVE
ON to 'higher and more pleasant things.' : )

NONE of this occurred to me as I drew and
then painted Pigeon-Head — but I've learned to
just trust the 'process' of creating — and allow
the Spirit of God to work through me.
