As usual, I have many 'works in progress' I hope
to finish eventually — but am happy to end this year by
sharing my twelfth completed digital painting of 2022.

Can you believe we're heading into 2023!!

This painting began life as yet another sketch from an OLD, 'real
world' sketchbook of mine — I originally posted here WAY BACK
in December of 2012 — almost exactly 10 years ago to the day.

Back then I called that drawing, 'Tree Girlie', which I admit isn't a
very clever name — but even then the sketch had great symbolic meaning
to me. So prayed about what to call this final digital painting, and God
answered with, 'Oubliette' — French for a specific type of prison
with only one way of escape through a single opening above.

I think that is a PERFECT name!!
