So much has changed since I originally
sketched my concept for Gertie back in 2019.

In 2024 as I post this, most smart-phones have
gotten sooo much larger — and it didn't occur to me that
anyone would wonder if Gertie was a dood back then. : )

You can see the original sketch here — and I
definitely own some of that 'confusion' by giving her hairy
legs, that giant schnozola, and heavy features — all that
I just thought was funny at the time. : /

I was also in a different place spiritually at that
time — and thought it was funny then to have her
updating a Tinder profile — but in 2024, now
just have her updating her dating profile. : )

This one was a BLAST to paint!!
