2016 Sketchbook Drawing: "Bubba"

After I drew this one—I thought it had a bit of a
Slick Willie Clinton look—and so I captioned it
with what I thought was a funny political line.

Later, a couple approached me while I was
drawing—and the woman asked if I took commissions.

As we discussed that—her husband became impatient and seemed
like he was getting angry—and told her it was time to go.

That's when I looked down and re-read what I intended to be a
humorous throw-away line—and realized he's been offended by it.

Through my life people have said not to mix politics with business
and I COMPLETELY "got" it then—IF I hadn't before.....
